Ervin Santana Allows Four Runs In Five Innings Monday
6 years agoMinnesota Twins starting pitcher Ervin Santana only lasted 5 1/3 innings on Monday against the Cleveland Indians. He struggled early, allowing a home run to third baseman Jose Ramirez in the very first inning. The long ball would go onto haunt him for the rest of his outing, as he allowed two more home runs and an RBI double. In the end, he allowed four runs on six hits, walked two and struck out just one batter. It was his first home start since returning from the disabled list. Santana will need some time to find his bearings again after such a long absence, so right now his value is set to American League-only, deep leagues. The veteran has also been linked to trade rumors, so it will be interesting to see if the Twins make a deal before the deadline.
