6 years agoCharl Schwartzel missed the cut at The Memorial with a score of 2-over par after two rounds. He shot a brutal 77 in the opening round Thursday and despite a bounce back 69 in the second round, the South African fell two strokes shy of the even-par cut line. The performance reflected the type of erratic 2018 season that Schwartzel has had. The missed cut comes on the heels of an impressive tie for second at The Players Championship that was followed by a withdrawal at the Fort Worth Invitational. Schwartzel will head to the FedEx St. Jude Classic this week, a tournament that he tied for second in last year.
