2 years agoErik Jones, driving for Legacy Motor Club, will start the race at COTA alongside AJ Allmendinger in the fourth row. After running the quickest lap in Group A during the first round of qualifying, Jones ended up qualifying eighth for the EchoPark Automotive Grand Prix. Jones is used to starting closer to the back, as his average start at 10 road courses last season was 27th. He will focus on staying in the top 10 during this race and improving on his average finish of 16.8.--Eric DeWilde
