5 years agoJoe Gibbs Racing driver Erik Jones registered a third-place finish at the Foxwoods Resort Casino 301 at New Hampshire Motor Speedway on Sunday. He has been tremendous lately, although he has been unable to get over the hump for a victory. Still, he is squarely in the hunt for one of the 16 spots in the Chase. Next up is a trip to Pocono, where he was also third back on June 2. In five career Cup races at the Pennsylvania track he leads all drivers with a 9.6 Average-Finish Position, three top-5 runs, four top-10 finishes and 35 laps led.--Daniel Dobish
