Erick Fedde Scratched With Side Tightness On Thursday
3 years agoWashington Nationals right-handed pitcher Erick Fedde (side) was scratched from his Spring Training start against the New York Mets on Thursday. He was reportedly experiencing tightness in his right side, so the team opted to hold him out and send Josh Rogers to the mound in his place. Expect for the Nationals to pay close attention to Fedde over the next few days. The 29-year-old is projected to be one of the team's starting pitchers to begin the 2022 season. He made 29 appearances (27 starts) with the team last year and pitched to a 5.47 ERA and a 1.44 WHIP while averaging 8.6 K/9.
