Erick Fedde Lit Up In Cardinals Debut
4 months agoSt. Louis Cardinals starting pitcher Erick Fedde was lit up for five ER in five innings and was credited with the loss as the Cardinals fell to the Chicago Cubs 6-3 on Friday afternoon. Fedde, who was acquired at the deadline by the Cardinals, allowed two HR on six hits while falling to 7-5 on the season. It's the third time this season Fedde has allowed five ER and his ERA now sits at 3.34 on the season. The 31-year-old is in the midst of a career year, but fantasy managers should be aware that negative regression will likely continue to come for Fedde as his 3.34 ERA is paired with a 3.79 xERA. Fantasy managers shouldn't hesitate to keep him in their starting lineups, but expectations may need to be tempered going forward. He'll get another chance to stave off negative regression and pick up his first Cardinals win on Wednesday when St. Louis hosts on the Tampa Bay Rays.
