Erick Fedde Effective In Second Start For Cardinals
4 months agoSt. Louis Cardinals starting pitcher Erick Fedde bounced back in the second start for his new team, picking up the win in a 5-2 victory over the Rays. Fedde went five innings, allowing one run on four hits and two walks while striking out six. The recently acquired righty gave up five earned runs in his debut appearance with the Cardinals, so this performance was a welcome sight. The 31-year-old has been mostly solid this season, posting an 8-5 record with a 3.28 ERA, 1.15 WHIP, and 118 strikeouts in 131 2/3 innings pitched. He'll get Cincinnati on the road in his next start this coming Tuesday.
