Erick Fedde Drawing Trade Interest
16 seconds agoSt. Louis Cardinals right-handed pitcher Erick Fedde is drawing interest on the trade market. According to Derrick Goold of the St. Louis Dispatch, several teams believe the Cardinals are actively trying to find a trade partner for the 31-year-old. Throughout the offseason, the Cardinals have attempted to shed payroll. They decided to let Paul Goldschmidt test the open market and have had several discussions with teams about moving third baseman Nolan Arenado. Fedde will likely be moved sometime this season as he is set to enter free agency after the 2025 campaign. Last season, the right-hander posted a 3.30 ERA and a 1.16 WHIP across 177 1/3 innings. He tallied 154 punchouts and allowed walks at a strong 7.2 percent rate. He is currently penciled to be the No. 2 option in the St. Louis starting rotation behind Sonny Gray.
