Eric Wagaman With Three Knocks In Marlins 11-4 Win On Sunday
7 hours agoMiami Marlins first baseman Eric Wagaman went 3-for-3 on Sunday with two runs scored and two walks. It was a nice afternoon for Wagaman, who is now slashing .231/.318/.359 on the season. The Marlins completed their three-game series against the Washington Nationals on Sunday and took two of three from them over the weekend. The Marlins had Wagaman batting in the cleanup spot on Sunday against a left-handed pitcher, which throughout the season could set up nicely for him as Xavier Edwards and Kyle Stowers batting in front of him both supporting a .406 and .410 on-base percentage, respectively. All that said, Wagaman is not recommended in most 12-team leagues but could be a pick-up in deeper leagues for those looking for a corner infielder if he continues to hit. Next for the Marlins is a three-game series starting Tuesday against the Arizona Diamondbacks.
