New York Jets tight end Eric Tomlinson only played four snaps in the team's third preseason game Saturday against the Saints. Tomlinson is expected to split time with fellow tight end Ryan Griffin while starter Chris Herndon serves his four-game suspension but didn't get much playing time and didn't see a single target. Tomlinson is more known for his blocking from the tight end position and doesn't carry any fantasy value even with Herndon out.--Mike Schwarzenbach - RotoBaller

Denver Broncos tight end Eric Tomlinson scored his second touchdown of the season and only the third of his career in the Week 18 win over the Los Angeles Chargers in the regular season finale on Sunday. Tomlinson caught his only target of the contest for the three-yard score. Meanwhile, tight ends Andrew Beck and Albert Okwuegbunam failed to catch a pass on three combined targets. Greg Dulcich will enter next year as Denver's clear No. 1 pass-catching tight end, but the Broncos pieced things together with Tomlinson, Eric Saubert and Okwuegbunam in the final two games this season with Dulcich injured. Tomlinson finishes his first year in Denver with nine catches on 13 targets for 79 yards and the two touchdowns. He won't be fantasy relevant heading into the 2023 campaign.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller

Denver Broncos tight ends Eric Saubert (knee) and Eric Tomlinson (ankle) are officially active for Week 18 against the Los Angeles Chargers. Both players had been questionable after practicing in a limited capacity on Friday. With Greg Dulcich on IR, Saubert stepped up last week, catching three passes for 30 yards. Meanwhile, Tomlinson saw a solid 33 percent snap share but was not targeted in Week 17. Both players are a bit too risky to trust in this week's fantasy championships.--Andersen Pickard - RotoBaller

Denver Broncos tight end Eric Tomlinson caught just his second career touchdown reception in the 24-15 victory over the Arizona Cardinals in Week 15 on Sunday. The blocking tight end caught all three of his targets for 28 yards and the score. Coming into this game, the 30-year-old had just five catches on nine targets for 48 yards in 13 games in his first year in Denver. But surprisingly he had one more target than rookie Greg Dulcich, who has been the team's primary pass-catching tight end for the majority of the 2022 season. It was a nice moment in Tomlinson's career and season, but fantasy managers shouldn't expect any more of it over the final three games of the year. Tomlinson now has five receptions for 39 yards and a touchdown in the last two weeks.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller

The Denver Broncos signed free-agent tight end Eric Tomlinson to an undisclosed one-year deal on Wednesday. The team also announced they re-signed linebacker Josey Jewell to a two-year deal worth $11 million. Tomlinson appeared in all 17 games for the Baltimore Ravens last year, but he had just one catch for seven yards. The 29-year-old has a grand total of two catches for eight yards in the last three years with the New England Patriots, New York Giants, Las Vegas Raiders and Ravens. Although the Broncos parted ways with Noah Fant in the Russell Wilson trade, Albert Okwuegbunam is currently projected as their primary pass-catching tight end in 2022. Tomlinson will mainly be a blocker for Denver and won't be on the fantasy radar.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
