6 years agoAtlanta Falcons tight end Eric Saubert had a 44-yard reception in the preseason game against the Jacksonville Jaguars Saturday. The downside for Saubert is that the pass he caught was thrown by Matt Schaub and not Matt Ryan. A reception for Saubert from Ryan would have demonstrated that he may have a place with the first-team offense this season. However, right now Sauber is still in competition with Logan Paulsen or the second tight end spot behind Austin Hooper. Saubert will likely not have much fantasy value this season, without an injury to Hooper opening up the position of pass catching tight end.--Ben Rolfe
