2 years agoThe Athletic's Ken Rosenthal reported Monday that Eric Hinske is expected to be the New York Mets' new assistant hitting coach. The Mets shuffled coaching roles earlier this offseason, naming Eric Chavez as the bench coach and Jeremy Barnes as the hitting coach. Hinske previously worked for Mets general manager Billy Eppler with the Los Angeles Angels in 2018. The Mets' offense was one of baseball's best in 2022 and is led by four-time Manager of the Year Buck Showalter.--Connelly Doan - RotoBaller
