Winnipeg Jets goaltender Eric Comrie will guard the crease in Friday's matchup against Columbus. The 29-year-old gets his third start of the campaign. He has previously beaten Pittsburgh and Calgary in high-scoring games, allowing three goals on both occasions. Comrie has saved 65 of 71 shots to register a solid .915 save percentage. The Jets have dropped only one game so far and are expected to cruise past the hosts on Friday. However, the Blue Jackets are riding a bit of momentum with three wins in four games and boast a hot goalie in Elvis Merzlikins, who has allowed only one goal across his last two starts.

Buffalo Sabres goaltender Eric Comrie (lower body) has been listed as week-to-week by the team. The 28-year-old got injured in Friday's 5-4 loss to New Jersey, leaving Buffalo without two of its first-choice netminders. Starter Devon Levi (lower body) is considered day-to-day. The injuries have promoted the Sabres to call up Devin Cooley from the AHL. He's set to work as Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen's backup in Sunday's tough matchup against the Avalanche. It's never easy to maneuver through an injury crisis in the goalie department, but the Sabres have proven that they have the firepower to outscore anyone on their day, and with Luukkonen having so far saved only 52 of 59 shots this season, going all-out on the attack might be the team's best chance for success.

Buffalo Sabres goaltender Eric Comrie sustained an lower-body injury in Friday's matchup against New Jersey. He was forced to leave the contest after allowing two goals on 18 shots. Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen came in to replace him and gave up three more goals in an eventual 5-4 defeat. Luukkonen could now become Buffalo's No. 1 for the time being, as regular starter Devon Levi (lower body) has already been on the shelf for four games. The Finnish netminder made his second appearance of the season Friday and has logged a 4.78 goals-against average with a .881 save percentage.

Buffalo Sabres goaltender Eric Comrie will make another start in Monday's matchup versus Montreal. The Sabres lost their regular starter Devon Levi (lower body) to injury last week, and Comrie has become the temporary No. 1, with Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen backing him up. The 28-year-old had a triumphant season debut on Saturday, beating the Islanders 3-1 with 24 saves. A meeting against a rebuilding Canadiens team gives Comrie a great opportunity to make it two wins in two starts. Levi isn't expected to be available for Tuesday either when the Sabres finish a back-to-back set in Ottawa, so Luukkonen should also get some action this week.
