Enderson Delgado Heads To Tigers In Trade
41 seconds agoThe Detroit Tigers acquired minor-league catcher Enderson Delgado and cash considerations from the Tampa Bay Rays on Monday in exchange for right-hander Alex Faedo, sources told ESPN's Jeff Passan. Delgado is a 20-year-old Venezuelan backstop that will head to the Tigers organization in 2025 after slashing a combined .259/.382/.400 with a .782 OPS, four home runs, 30 RBI, one steal and 27 runs scored in 65 games at in the Florida Complex League and at Single-A Charleston, where he spent most of his time (56 games). The switch-hitter will provide the Tigers with additional organizational depth at the catcher position, but he also has a little experience playing first base.
