Emmanuel Sanders is the No. 1 Receiver He's Been All Season
6 years agoA matchup with the Houston Texans hasn't been fruitful for most wide receivers this season, but Denver Broncos wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders has received 8.1 targets per game - a number which should rise with the departure of Demaryius Thomas. The Broncos coaching staff has been vocal in wanting to provide some of their younger receivers with more of an opportunity to showcase their abilities -- which was a factor in the trade of Thomas -- but the fact that Sanders has performed at a No. 1 WR level for this team surely helped make the decision a little easier as well. Sanders should be viewed as a WR2 in this one based on volume alone.
