Emmanuel Sanders Draws a Favorable Week 5 Matchup
6 years ago45.6 percent of the routes that Denver Broncos wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders has run this season have come from the slot. Not an astronomical number by any means, but seeing how Golden Tate, Jarvis Landry, and Dede Westbrook (who have all worked primarily from the slot this season) combined to average 104 receiving yards against Denver's Week 5 opponent -- the Jets -- I'll take it. Jets slot cornerback Buster Skrine is a decent corner with a ton of NFL experience. However, the numbers don't lie. Sanders' value takes a hit due to Broncos quarterback Case Keenum's lackluster play, but Sanders has seen consistent targets on a weekly basis and should be considered a low-end WR2/high-end WR3 this week given the matchup.
