3 years agoCleveland Guardians relief pitcher Emmanuel Clase has yet to receive a save opportunity on the season. Each of the team's four victories on the year have come in games in which the score was too lopsided headed into the ninth inning for a save opportunity to arise. Last Monday, Clase entered the game in the ninth while the team had a 10-5 lead and last Wednesday, he entered the game in the ninth while the team had a four-run lead. Clase converted 24 of his 29 save opportunities in 2021 while pitching to a 1.29 ERA and a 0.96 WHIP.
