Emmanuel Clase Picks Up 12th Save
2 years agoCleveland Guardians relief pitcher Emmanuel Clase notched his 12th save of the season on Sunday, securing a 2-0 victory over the Minnesota Twins. Clase was tasked with finishing off a shutout after a tremendous performance by Cal Quantrill, and did so, striking out one while allowing just a walk in his inning of work. Clase now has the league lead in saves, converting 12 of his 15 attempts. He has a 1.96 ERA and 1.04 WHIP with 11 strikeouts in 18 ⅓ IP. He remains one of the best closers in the league and is at worst a top-three option in fantasy.
