Emmanuel Clase Locks Down 15th Save
3 years agoCleveland Indians relief pitcher Emmanuel Clase recorded his 15th save of the season Friday night in the Tribe's 6-1 win over the Detroit Tigers. The Indians entered the ninth inning with a 6-0 lead and it did not appear Clase would be needed, but Blake Parker promptly loaded the bases and allowed a run while recording just one out and Clase was called into duty. He quickly struck out Eric Haase and Victor Reyes to end the inning. Clase now has a 1.79 ERA on the season and will continue to garner save opportunities down the stretch in conjunction with James Karinchak.
