Emmanuel Clase Earns Save No. 35 Tuesday
1 year agoCleveland Guardians closer Emmanuel Clase picked up his 35th save of the season in Tuesday's 4-2 win over the Twins. Clase entered the game to pitch the bottom of the ninth up by three. He got the first out on a groundout, allowed a solo home run, and got the final two outs on a groundout and a pop-out. While his save total has been what fantasy managers have expected, the 25-year-old has not been as stellar as he has been in previous seasons, blowing nine saves with a 3.00 ERA and an 8.40 K/9 rate. That being said, fantasy managers cannot complain, as he has been one of fantasy's top closers.
