Emmanuel Clase Collects Save No. 37
2 years agoCleveland Guardians reliever Emmanuel Clase made short work of the White Sox in the ninth inning on Thursday to close out his team's 4-2 victory. The right-hander threw 12 pitches in the frame to retire the side in order with a strikeout, ground out, and a fly out to collect his major league-leading 37th save of the season. Clase has put it all together in his third season in the majors with a 1.37 ERA and 0.73 WHIP with 67 K through 65 2/3 IP so far in 2022. Managers who took a shot on him in the mid-rounds of drafts have been rewarded handsomely as his stock continues to rise as we approach the fantasy offseason.
