Emiliano Grillo Has Shown Good Pete Dye Play in the Past
6 years agoThe Travelers Championship is contested at TPC River Highlands, a Pete Dye-designed course. Pete Dye courses are known to be demanding and challenging, but the young Argentinian golfer Emiliano Grillo has found success at these designs early in his career. In Grillo's 17 rounds played previously on Pete Dye-designed courses, he ranks second in ball striking and third in strokes gained tee to green compared to the field. The 25-year-old also comes into the week with some stellar form. If you take away Grillo's missed cut at last week's U.S. Open, he has provided 19 consecutive made cuts and nine top-25 finishes. At only a $7,700 price tag on DraftKings, Grillo will be around 20 percent owned, which is an extremely high ownership percentage. Despite his stellar stats, Grillo is in an unusual position with his ownership percentage being so high. His stats indicate he should be considered, but his high ownership is a potential red flag. With all that being said, Grillo will still be tough to fade this weekend.
