Elvis Andrus Hits First Career Grand Slam
6 years agoTexas Rangers shortstop Elvis Andrus hit the first grand slam of his 13-year career on Tuesday night. The grand slam was Andrus' fourth home run of the year and his second in two days. Hopefully for fantasy owners, this is the start of Andrus heating up at the plate. The Rangers shortstop has struggled since returning from a fractured elbow. However, he has hit more consistently over the last couple of weeks, with a .333 batting average in his last eight games prior to this one. If Andrus is now adding the power he showed last season, then he could be a huge fantasy contributor in the second half of the season. Now would be a great time to try and trade for Andrus before his owners register that this could be the start of a hot streak.
