Eloy Jimenez Stays Hot, Mashes First Spring Home Run Wednesday
9 months agoChicago White Sox designated hitter Eloy Jimenez continued his hot spring on Wednesday in a 12-9 Cactus League loss to the Los Angeles Dodgers. Jimenez went 2-for-2 with a walk, a single, and his first home run of the spring, driving in two runs and scoring in all three plate appearances. The powerful righty now sits alone atop the spring leaderboard in hits with 12, with five multi-hit efforts in eight games played. The 27-year-old has worked with hitting coach Marcus Thames on his swing and it appears to be paying off. It's also a contract year for Jimenez so there's extra motivation, for him and the White Sox, as he could also be a potential trade chip.
