The San Francisco 49ers are hopeful running back Elijah Mitchell (shoulder) will practice this week. He was ruled out for the Sunday Night Football showdown against the Green Bay Packers. The 23-year-old initially injured his shoulder in Week 2 against the Philadelphia Eagles. Before getting hurt, Mitchell rushed for 146 yards on 18 attempts and one touchdown while catching two passes for 11 yards in both games in 2021. The 49ers running back will look to practice this week and has a chance to suit up in Week 4's matchup against the Seattle Seahawks. Fantasy managers should continue to monitor the situation as the Seahawks' defense has been decimated by the run this season. Trey Sermon, Kyle Juszcyzk (surprisingly out-snapped Sermon 48-to-41), Trenton Cannon would lead the 49ers backfield while Mitchell is sidelined.
