Elias Pettersson Sustains Injury On Wednesday
14 seconds agoVancouver Canucks rookie defenseman Elias Pettersson (upper body) was unable to finish Wednesday's contest against the Calgary Flames. The 21-year-old defenseman sustained this injury in the opening frame. He logged just over four minutes of ice time prior to exiting. Fantasy managers should monitor his status before their next contest on Saturday evening against the Chicago Blackhawks. Entering Wednesday's game, the third-round pick tallied one point (an assist) over his last four games while logging five hits and five blocked shots. Through his first 15 NHL contests, Pettersson has tallied just two points (both helpers) while adding 12 shots, 20 hits, and 11 blocks. If he were to miss time, the Canucks may have to promote a defenseman from their AHL affiliate.
