Eli Morgan To Make MLB Debut On Friday
4 years agoThe Cleveland Indians will promote starting pitcher Eli Morgan to make his MLB debut against the Toronto Blue Jays on Friday. The 25-year-old Morgan has made three starts at Triple-A this year and has gone 0-1 with a 3.95 ERA and 1.54 WHIP with 13 strikeouts over 13.2 innings. He's done a good job of limiting walks in previous seasons in the minors. In 2019, over 140.2 innings split across multiple levels, he allowed just 2.6 BB/9 while posting a 3.39 ERA and 1.17 WHIP. He isn't someone who fantasy managers should be too excited about yet, but he's worth keeping an eye on in case he can stick in an Indians rotation that's very much in need of a healthy arm.
