Eli Manning's Future Up In The Air
6 years agoNew York Giants general manager Dave Gettleman isn't necessarily committed to keeping quarterback Eli Manning as the starter in 2019. "I'm committed to making the best decision in the interest of the Giants. We’re in the evaluation process. I know you want answers now," Gettleman said. Manning turns 38 on Thursday and is clearly fading at the end of his career. He completed a career-high 66 percent of his passes in 2018 and threw for 4,299 yards with 21 touchdowns and 11 interceptions, but he didn't look as good as the numbers show. Arm strength is also an issue as he ages. If he returns as the starter for New York next year, he'll merely be a low-upside QB2 target.
