Eli Manning's Agent Expects Him To Return
6 years agoNew York Giants quarterback Eli Manning's agent, Tom Condon, believes that his client will be back with the Giants in 2019 for his 16th NFL season. “I think he’d love to come back,” said Condon, the driving force behind the powerful Creative Artists Agency’s football division. “Guys love to play their whole careers with one team, if they have a good experience with that team.” Whether Manning accepts a salary reduction in 2019 might be the deciding factor for whether the Giants bring him back. He's on the books for $17 million in the final season of his contract. The veteran QB had a passer rating of 92.4 this year and completed a career-high 66 percent of his passes for 4,299 yards, 21 touchdowns and 11 interceptions. Manning didn't look as good as his numbers suggest in 2018, but he might still be the starter in 2019 if he returns. With limited upside at this point in his career, Manning is merely a mediocre QB2 target if he's starting.
