Eli Manning Will Start Monday Night
6 years agoNew York Giants quarterback Eli Manning will start on Monday night against the 49ers in Week 10, according to head coach Pat Shurmur. Manning has been bad this year but was taking the first-team repetitions in practice on Tuesday and will remain the starter for at least another week. Backup Kyle Lauletta was arrested last week but won't be suspended by the league or by the team. If Manning continues to stink up the joint in a good matchup against San Fran, don't be surprised if the team turns to the rookie in a lost season. A terrible offensive line hasn't helped Manning's cause, but he looks washed up and over the hill. He'll be a QB2 streamer on Monday night, but nothing more.
