6 years agoNew Orleans Pelicans point guard Elfrid Payton posted a decent fantasy line in Monday's preseason game against Atlanta, finishing with seven points, seven rebounds, four assists, and two blocks, but he was a minus-10 on the floor, which was the worst mark of all starters. After making just 20 percent of his shots on Sunday against Chicago, he improved his shooting to 43 percent (3-for-7), but head coach Alvin Gentry surely expected more from him after handing Payton 24 minutes. Payton had a very rough time in Phoenix last season, so confidence could be an issue with him right now. He'll be a risky pick at the draft.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
