Edwin Rios Blasts Two Home Runs On Wednesday
5 years agoLos Angeles Dodgers first baseman Edwin Rios was 3-for-4 with two home runs, three RBI, a walk, and three runs scored during Wednesday's 9-1 win over the Miami Marlins. Rios is filling in for the injured Alex Verdugo (oblique), and he has played admirably so far. Rios is slashing .346/.485/.731 through 33 plate appearances in 2019. He produced 25 HRs, 75 RBI, and a .266 average at Triple-A Oklahoma City this season. The Dodgers seem to get the best out of all the players they call up, so Rios is worthy of a speculative add in deeper leagues while he receives consistent playing time.
