Edwin Encarnacion Slugs Ninth Long Ball Of Season
6 years agoSeattle Mariners first baseman Edwin Encarnacion clubbed his ninth homer of the year in Saturday's loss to the Indians. It was a solo shot off of Carlos Carrasco as EE finished the day going 1-for-3 with a walk. Encarnacion is now batting .234 on the season after hitting a cold streak over the last week like many of the Mariners batters. His average may be faltering but his power has remained steady with 21 RBI on the season, and we should expect more of the same moving forward. With the M's hot start normalizing, it seems inevitable that Encarnacion finishes the 2019 season wearing a different uniform.
