Edwin Encarnacion Returns To Action
6 years agoSeattle Mariners slugger Edwin Encarnacion is back in the lineup for the first time since Monday, as he was dealing with a sore left hand. He's batting fifth in the designated hitter spot and is facing White Sox starter Lucas Giolito, who was no stranger to serving up the long ball in 2018. It's a good bounce-back opportunity for EE to kick start his season, as he's off to a cold start with his new team. He's 5-for-21 in the early going with one homer and one RBI, but Encarnacion is notorious for slow Aprils, so owners shouldn't be too worried. Expect the 36-year-old to finish the year with strong power numbers, although he's not the same 40/100 batter he was a few years ago.
