Edwin Encarnacion Leaves Thursday's Game With Apparent Injury
5 years agoNew York Yankees designated hitter Edwin Encarnacion (wrist) left the first game of a doubleheader Thursday against the Detroit Tigers with an apparent right wrist injury. This is worrisome news for the Yankees and fantasy owners, as Encarnacion just returned to the lineup after missing a month due to an injury to the same wrist, but the removal could be precautionary. The 36-year-old collected a walk and a home run before being replaced by Mike Ford. An update on his status should be released by the Yankees soon.
