Edwin Encarnacion Hits First Yankees Home Run
5 years agoThe New York Yankees secured a series victory and extended their AL East lead once again Tuesday night in the Bronx. Defeating the Tampa Bay Rays, 6-3, newcomer Edwin Encarnacion drilled his first home run with his new club. It was only his second game with his new club. The 36-year-old now has 22 home runs which leads the American League. Encarnacion is expected to split time with Luke Voit between first base and the DH spot, meaning the newly-returned Giancarlo Stanton will become a regular outfielder.
