Edwin Diaz Works Clean Inning To Get Twelfth Save
3 years agoNew York Mets relief pitcher Edwin Diaz picked up his twelfth save of the season on Saturday, pitching a clean ninth inning against the Padres. Diaz struck out one batter in his one inning of work to secure the Mets 4-1 victory. Diaz has been excellent in save situations in 2021, having converted 12 of 13 save opportunities. He owns a 2.81 ERA, a 1.05 WHIP, and a 34:7 K:BB over 25 2/3 IP on the season. Diaz should remain active in all fantasy formats, as he remains one of the dominant relievers in all of baseball, particularly with saves so tough to consistently come by.
