3 years agoNew York Mets relief pitcher Edwin Diaz picked up his 13th save of the season on Monday by striking out the side in the ninth inning. Called on to preserve the Mets 5-2 lead over the Chicago Cubs, Diaz struck out Willson Contreras, Kris Bryant, and Anthony Rizzo in a dominant performance. Diaz remains excellent in save situations in 2021, having now converted 13 of 14 save opportunities. He owns a 2.70 ERA, a 1.01 WHIP, and a 37:7 K:BB over 26 2/3 IP on the season. As one of baseball's most dominant relievers, Diaz should remain active in all fantasy formats.--Nick Ritrivi - RotoBaller
