Edward Cabrera Leaves Early With Ankle Injury
2 years agoMiami Marlins starting pitcher Edward Cabrera (ankle) has left Sunday's start early after twisting his right ankle while fielding a bunt in the fourth inning. Cabrera threw some warmup pitches after the injury occurred, according to beat writer Christina De Nicola, but he was pulled from the contest anyway. Cabrera surrendered two earned runs to go along with three punchouts over 3 2/3 innings before leaving the game. The team should provide an update on his status shortly. Jeff Brigham has taken over for the Marlins.
