Edward Cabrera Gets Through Four Innings On Saturday
3 years agoMiami Marlins rookie starting pitcher Edward Cabrera worked another short outing on Saturday against the Pittsburgh Pirates. In Cabrera's four innings, he allowed three runs (two earned) on six hits and three walks, striking out seven. It was good to see the rookie righty rack up some strikeouts, but he needed 79 pitches (48 strikes) to get just 12 outs total. While he's shown more than a few flashes of his upside, Cabrera's big league career is off to a rough start. He'll take an 0-2 record and a 6.20 ERA into his next start.
