Edward Cabrera Dominant With Nine Strikeouts At Double-A
3 years agoMiami Marlins prospect Edward Cabrera had his swing-and-miss stuff working on Thursday. The 23-year-old hurler struck out nine batters without issuing a walk in six innings of work. He also gave up just three hits and did not allow a run. Cabrera got off to a late start to the 2021 season due to an injury but he's been nearly untouchable in four minor league starts — two at High-A ball during rehab and two at Double-A. At the higher level, he has a K-BB of 16-1 with just five hits allowed in 10 1/3 innings. Cabrera has a high ceiling and should be ready to settle into the Marlins' starting rotation in 2022. He's worth monitoring in dynasty leagues.
