Eduardo Rodriguez To Start Thursday Against New York
3 years agoBoston Red Sox starting pitcher Eduardo Rodriguez will take the mound on Thursday to kick off the second half of the season. Rodriguez went 6-5 with a 5.52 ERA and 104 strikeouts over 89 2/3 innings of work before the All-Star break, and closed out his first half by allowing four runs on nine hits while striking out five over five innings of work. He has had some solid outings over the course of the season, but has been very much inconsistent on the mound all year long. That being said, Thursday could be a nice matchup for Rodriguez, because two of his best starts this year have come against the Yankees where he has allowed five runs over 11 1/3 innings with 15 strikeouts.
