Eduardo Rodriguez Pitches Well Again
4 years agoBoston Red Sox starter Eduardo Rodriguez had his best start of the season on Tuesday, allowing just two runs in six-plus innings and earning the win against the Toronto Blue Jays. There were many encouraging signs with Rodriguez's start, chief among them a fastball that touched 95 mph for the first time this season. Rodriguez has struck out 18 and walked just two so far this season, a remarkable level of sharpness for a guy who missed the entire 2020 season due to health issues related to COVID-19. With three starts and three wins, it looks like Rodriguez is back to his 2019 self, in which he finished sixth in the American League Cy Young voting.
