Eduardo Escobar’s First Slump In June Continues Wednesday
6 years agoMinnesota Twins infielder Eduardo Escobar is suddenly slumping after Wednesday’s loss to the Chicago White Sox. One of the few bright spots on the Twins this season, Escobar went 0-for-4 with a strikeout on Wednesday. He has now gone just 2-for-18 in the last seven days for a feeble batting average of just .111. With that said though, his total average in June is still a sterling .349. Fantasy owners will have to hope this is just a brief blip on Escobar’s radar. The larger problem appears to be Minnesota’s offense as a whole. The team has averaged little more than two runs in their last six games. Twins hitters — even formerly safe options like Escobar and Eddie Rosario — should be examined closely before starting in daily leagues.
