Eduardo Escobar Makes Instant Impact With Brewers
3 years agoMilwaukee Brewers third baseman Eduardo Escobar went 1-for-3 with a solo home run, two walks and two total runs scored in Friday's 9-5 win over Atlanta. The 32-year-old's first game with Milwaukee went well, as he went deep in the ninth inning to tack on an insurance run. He got the start at his natural third base position Friday, but switch-hitter is expected to play first-base against lefties to allow Milwaukee to keep Luis Urias in the lineup. Escobar is up to 23 homers, 66 RBI, 52 runs scored and a stolen base through 405 plate appearances, and his counting stats could be in for a boost now that he's away from Arizona's terrible offense.
