Eduardo Escobar Finishes Homer Short of Cycle, Continues Hot Streak
5 years agoArizona Diamondbacks infielder Eduardo Escobar fell a home run short of the cycle on Sunday against the Rockies, finishing 3-for-4 with a double, a triple, an RBI and a run scored. After a 10-game stretch in June that saw him hitting .200 with six strikeouts to seven hits, Escobar has increased his average by 13 points over his last nine games — hitting .424 since June 27 with three doubles, a triple and five RBI. Owners should be happy to see the bump in production from Escobar, as he will look to continue his streak after the All-Star Break against the Cardinals.
