Edouard Julien Re-Enters Starting Lineup Wednesday
1 year agoMinnesota Twins second baseman Edouard Julien will return to the starting lineup Wednesday night versus Detroit Tigers right-hander Alex Faedo. Manager Rocco Baldelli rolled out his right-handed bats against left-hander Eduardo Rodriguez on Tuesday but the lefties, including Julien, get back in action against the right-hander on Wednesday. Of course, Julien has been marvelous for the Twins this season, hitting .297 with 10 home runs, three stolen bases, and an .897 OPS across 65 appearances. His 30.5% K% is of some concern but he has mitigated the punchouts with a healthy 12.3% BB% rate, an impressive number for a youngster. He has a nice matchup on his hands Wednesday as Faedo sports a 5.80 ERA in 12 starts on the season.
