Edmundo Sosa Has A Three-Hit Game On Friday
3 years agoSt. Louis Cardinals shortstop Edmundo Sosa had a three-hit game on Friday against the Chicago Cubs. He went 3-for-4 with two runs scored, skyrocketing his batting average to .333 and his OPS to .859. All three hits were singles, but Sosa had started the season 2-for-14 so it was nice to see him string some hits together. He's filling in for Paul DeJong (rib) who has a left rib non-displaced fracture and could be out for a while. Sosa ultimately profiles as more of a utility player, but if he stays hot he could be a decent NL-only option while he has a starting role.
