Edinson Volquez Unimpressive In Second 2019 Start
6 years agoTexas Rangers starting pitcher Edinson Volquez struggled against the Los Angeles Angels in his second start of the 2019 season. Volquez gave up four walks and four hits in 3 2/3 innings of work on Thursday. He only surrendered two earned runs but racked up 83 pitches for just 11 outs. This outing follows a tough first start of the season, in which he pitched four innings, surrendering four earned runs on six hits and four walks. After these two starts Volquez has a 7.04 ERA and a 2.35 WHIP, with six strikeouts in 7 2/3 innings. Right now Volquez is a long way from fantasy consideration, in all formats.
