Eddie Rosario Likely Headed To Injured List
3 years agoCleveland Indians outfielder Eddie Rosario (abdomen) is likely headed to the injured list after aggravating his abdominal injury on Monday, according to Indians manager Terry Francona. Rosario was initially pulled from Thursday's game against the Astros with the same issue and missed Friday's contest before returning to the lineup Saturday. The development is disappointing, given that the 29-year-old started off July by going 4-for-10 with one homer and two doubles. Rosario has provided some modest power and speed in deep mixed leagues. Oscar Mercado, who had a great rookie season in 2019 with 15 home runs and 15 stolen bases, will have some short-term power/speed upside in deep mixed and AL-only leagues with more playing time.
